Spring break is just around the corner… but we’re sure it feels worlds away right now with all of the homework and this freaking pandemic. Do you have an inkling to just go, but you aren’t sure where? Well, we’ve got you covered with these destinations that are great for the adventurous young adult or college student.
Remember to check all travel restrictions in your own area, University and the area you want to travel to before planning your trip. And if you’re not planning on going anywhere this year we totally get it - just save this blog for later!
South Padre Island, TX
If you’re looking for something closer to the middle of the country, then maybe South Padre is your best bet. Famous for its warm, calm waters, the South of Texas is an excellent escape from frigid winter weather. Also, SPI is the sandcastle capital of the world - you’re set up for the next great beach adventure -- the year round temperature is always just right! Before you leave, be sure to catch some of the great wildlife education tours that everyone will enjoy.

La Jolla Cove, CA
La Jolla Cove is a particularly good choice when you want the beach trip to be filled with wildlife. Many visitors have acclaimed that the snorkel tours are a blast. After an afternoon of swimming with all of the fishies stop by Bobbio’s for some Natural Gelato. They even have a dairy-free option! Before you plan your trip, check out all of the recommendations and cheats provided by a resident of La Jolla Cove (you’ll love watching the sun-bathing sea lions...seriously, so cute).

Punta Cana, DR
If you’re looking to get out of the country for a week, then maybe the Dominican Republic is up your alley. Just make sure your passport is up to date! If you’re not familiar with the area then you should check out this map of beaches in the area. If you’re up for a little more adventure, then try out the zipline or the kite surfing! If you’re wanting to get away, this may be just the right place.
